Day 80

I finished summer school today (HALLELUJAH!) and then packed my bags and headed out into the world.  
JT happened to be going home to Manteca for a few days, so I tagged along. I was going to meet my friend Yardley, who was flying into San Francisco from Maryland. JT wanted to see Yardley too, and Claire, our gracious host, was driving back to SB on Sunday, so I lucked out and just got to enjoy the ride both ways. 


JT and his family love going to Pismo beach, and I had never been, so we stopped here for dinner. It's a cool little town, I didn't get to explore much, but what I saw I liked. This hotel seemed like a pretty cool place, and I loved the light, so I snapped this one off while JT parked the car. 


The drive there was long, but it was actually really nice. We put on Neil Young's Greatest Hits and just took in the scenery. Driving up the coast and then through the valleys full of vineyards was a nice reminder that California is by far one of the most beautiful places on earth, it was a great way to start the trip!
