I have the midterm from hell on Tuesday, and a paper due Wednesday, so I spent my entire Saturday studying.
It doesn't happen often. Usually I only have 2 weekends like this throughout the quarter, but they are absolutely miserable. The study guide for my midterm was 7 pages full of questions, and the answers to those questions ended up being 20 pages, so that was fun to go over. When I feel like I'm going insane from film history, I get to "take a break" and work on my ethics paper. I have no problem sitting down and putting in some hard work (it's not fun, but I can do it), but I hate being crammed inside all day. I get some gnarly cabin fever and I get super restless, and since I'm pretty much immobile on days like this, I have a terrible time getting to sleep at night. All I really wanted to do today was play guitar.
So to solve the problem, I cloned myself. Now, with three of me, I can study for my test, work on my paper, and play guitar at the same time. So far so good, right?
On a side note, I royally screwed up when taking this picture. I had the camera on the tripod, but when I went to take the third picture of me with the guitar, I accidentally nudged the camera, which spun a little to the right. "No big deal" I thought to myself, "I'll just fix it in photoshop, it'll be easy". Well, it wasn't. It took me three different attempts to get this to look right. What really messed me up was the table, which is actually composed of 6 pieces of the table from different pictures. Getting the wood grain to match while keeping the reflection of the laptop and of my legs was really difficult because the camera moved. I probably would have been better off just retaking the pictures, and I definitely didn't get it perfect, but I got it to the point where I felt okay about showing it. I was REALLY close to just going out and taking another picture, though.
