I shaved off my beard today.
The last two weeks have been stressful and I'm ready to attack this next week. I wanted a fresh start, so I cleaned myself up and boy does it feel nice. I haven't been clean shaven since Day 61 and while I felt manly, things were starting to get out of hand.
This picture was actually really, really simple and it turned out pretty good.

Poor JT always gets roped into helping me with these things... Here is the set-up shot. It's one light, an SB-24, shooting through an umbrella. Then I grabbed a bounce card and grip clipped it to my desk for some fill. I used a wrinkly black sheet over my closet door as a backdrop. To get rid of the wrinkles, I feathered the umbrella away from the background so it was darker, and then I shot it at f/2.8 to get that nice depth of field and blur the background. Grab a desk chair and Voila! Easy set-up, easy tear-down, and a sharp looking picture.
