Day 103

103/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

Today I went to the Sustainable, Organic, and Local (SOL) food festival in Santa Barbara. This is a chicken coop that looks like a giant chicken. It's super meta.

The festival was cool, not really what I expected though. For a food festival, there was very few free samples which really bummed me out because I was starving, so I was only there for a bit. There were different booths set up for local businesses, a few workshops, and even an iron chef-esqe competition going one, judged by the iron chef herself Cat Cora.

What they lacked in food they made up for in animals though, and I have two questions to pose to you. One: Have you ever looked at a turkey up close?

a turkey!

They are friggin WEIRD looking. Two: Did you know baby ostriches are actually adorable?

baby ostriches!
