There comes a time in every young cinematographer's life when he must get himself a light meter. Today was that day for me. 


I went with the Sekonic L-398A, a decidedly low-tech option. It runs without batteries and is completely analogue, and for me it seems almost bulletproof. It's taken some tinkering to figure out how it works, but so far I'm really happy with it. It's just another step along the road to becoming a complete film nerd!
