Day 222

222/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

Today was the first day of shooting for 10-10-10.

After some solid brainstorming sessions we worked out a script that we were finally okay with. We got gear, got locations, and got actors lined up (in 4 days!) and today we started making cinematic gold. Today's picture is Vince's camera, which is a beastly set up. He has a 5D and on the front we have the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L, one of my favorite lenses to shoot with on the 5D (I like it almost as much as the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L). On the back he has a Letus Hawk Viewfinder, which I've never used but was so awesome. It makes you feel like you are actually shooting a movie! I think I'm in love, now I just need four grand...

Today was a great day. I kind of dread going into a shoot, and I always have a little bit of a hangover after, but when I'm in it it's a blast. We have such a good crew on this project, I'm pretty much kicking it with my friends the whole time. Plus, we got to shoot in an old folks home today, which was an experience in itself. Whose idea was it to put an old folks home in the middle of a college town?

We got a lot done today and we are shooting the rest of the movie tomorrow. 10 script pages in 2 days is crazy talk, but I have a good feeling about things!
