Today's picture has almost nothing to do with what happened today, but I liked it a lot and I couldn't pass it up.
It was the first day of this film competition I'm a part of for SBIFF, it's called 10-10-10. Ten directors get ten page scripts from ten different writers, ending with movies under ten minutes that are made in ten days. Today was the drawing to see which directors would get paired with which writers. The press conference was at the Canary Hotel, which we got to explore a little because we showed up early. The picture above is the ceiling in the room where they did the press conference and I dug it. At the top of the hotel they had a pool which was super impressive:

They also had these cool crown things on the corners of the roof:

After our adventure, Tony drew a name out of a goblet and we got our script:

We read it on the drive home and it is absolutely awful. We're in a sticky situation and we're probably going to have to do a lot of rewrites, it's going to be a long ten days!
