I spent all day doing research for a film history paper. Specifically, I spent the day going over all of Technicolor's patents trying to figure out how their system worked.

I chopped all my hair off. It was getting kind of long and annoying, especially since I've been running around like a crazy person. It feels nice to be streamlined, but I didn't realize how cold my head would get! I've had to tap into the beanie collection lately.

On Day 175 my mom signed the lease to start up her own salon. Today, after a lot of work, she held the grand opening of the Blo Out Lounge in Pasadena.

Today I shot a show on campus. This is Lissie, who's slowly turning her youtube success into a real career. I caught her in an off moment that I think is pretty powerful.

Today my dad decided to get himself a truck. When my mom saw it, she cried (and I don't think they were tears of joy).

Today we had Scott Frank come into my class. He is awesome, he stuck around after class and fielded questions and was just generally insightful. He's ridiculously successful, working people like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston and even Steven Spielberg. And he's a UCSB alum, which is super encouraging!

For the first time in a while I had some free time, so I went for a run. As I was chugging along the beach I saw this shell and it seemed perfect to me. So I grabbed it, brought it home, and took a picture. Now it sits on my desk and generally just makes me happy.

I spent all day combing through this giant reader. Then I wrote 9 pages about it. Take home midterms suck.

Today we had our 10-10-10 premier at the Lobero Theatre in downtown Santa Barbara!

It's been a long couple of weeks and I may have had some pent up aggression...

It's been a long week and I've spent the last 2 days with a camera in my hand. I have a camera hangover.

Today was the second day of 10-10-10 shooting. And, contrary to my expression in this picture, it was a blast!

When I started this project I was worried about having too many sunset pictures (there are plenty of beautiful sunsets in SB, it has been difficult). I'm starting to think I have a smoke fetish though, maybe I should have been more worried about that...

I had to spend my morning in traffic court today, which was just as pleasant as it sounds. The only nice thing was that I got to visit Santa Barbara's courthouse, which is actually a huge tourist attraction.

Today's picture has almost nothing to do with what happened today, but I liked it a lot and I couldn't pass it up.
