It's Christmas Eve's Eve, and I made my annual journey to see some lights.
There's a street in my town that goes all out for Christmas. It's a small, kidney bean shaped street and literally every house is drenched in lights and decorations. Each house has a giant sign, and as you go along the street you can read "The Night Before Christmas". People come from all over the valley to look at the houses with their kids. I go around sunset to take pictures.
A year or two ago I read a great article on Strobist (here) about shooting christmas lights. I knew of this street, so that same day I went and shot some pictures. Now I keep going back because it's fun, there's no better way to get into the christmas spirit.
One of my favorite things about this street is this car. This year was a close call though, I was really digging this penguin too, and it almost won the battle for the picture of the day:

Even though I took these picture today, I almost didn't post them. It's been so rainy here, and today was the first sunny day in a while. I was babysitting my sister, so we went outside and played on the trampoline. I brought my camera with me and I was experimenting.

I was stoked on those pictures to, and I almost used them instead of the christmas lights. Overall, I had a pretty sweet day. I'm starting to get used to being lazy, I'm almost afraid to start school again, it's going to kill me.
