Day 171

171/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

I took my last final this morning, and then I went on a hike.
It was at 8, and I was done by 9:30 in the morning. It felt SO GOOD to finish with school and I felt like I needed to celebrate. It was Jordan's last day of school in SB, and he asked me if I wanted to go one a hike. After being trapped inside for the last few days, I gladly accepted.

We went to a place called Inspiration Point, and it easily has one of the best views in Santa Barbara. They hike is really fun, and if you crawl up the river bed like we did it's actually a decent workout. I feel like I hiked off all of the stress that had been slowly building up throughout the quarter, and it felt incredible to reach the top and realize I had nothing to worry about.

I think it felt good for Jordan, too. He's worked his ass off to get into his first choice school and now he's moving on to greener pastures. I think this was a kind of coup de grâce for him, so it was cool to be with him while he called it a wrap on SB.

How's that for a martini shot?
