This is my brother, Garrett. It's good to be home.
Sometimes my house feels like a playground. While I was gone, my parents revamped our trampoline. It's got a nice new mat and all new springs and it's amazing. Garrett, Kyle and I (and the other random hooligans who live near us) spent a ludicrous amount of time on trampolines growing up, I think we've tried just about everything that can be tried on them. Even though it's been a while, we can still hop right up and do the same flips we did back in the day.
It's nice now, though, because our parents don't get on our case about hurting ourselves. They figure we're old enough now, if we break something we should have seen it coming. So we put our trampoline next to our patio cover, just like the good ol' days, and started jumping off of it. Garrett runs off of the patio, jumps as high as he can, spins around while he's floating, and then lands on his back on the trampoline under him. I think he's crazy, because once he jumps he's blind to his landing, but he has faith in himself I guess.
I busted out my 430ex and hopped on top of the patio cover. With Kyle as my VAL, I started snapping away. I liked this picture because it has this weird ethereal quality. It almost looks like it's a bad photoshopped job, and the trees kind of come out of nowhere, but I kind of like it. And I like the weird blurry outline that comes from him falling.
I took a lot of pictures, I must have made Garrett jump 20 times or so. Then Kyle got in on the action and threw a backflip on our patio cover, no trampoline or 'nuthin.

After the aerial shenanigans, we just started messing around. Kyle was holding my flash for me, and I caught him inspecting it. He made the fatal mistake of looking directly at it, and I couldn't help but flash him. He went temporarily blind for a good 15 seconds, but it sparked an idea that eventually led to this picture:

Then Garrett started to get in touch with his inner-model. He started thinking about how "crazy it would be if you were hanging off a cliff and just reaching for the light". Then he started hanging off the edge of the patio, and I knocked this one off...

I'm starting to think Garrett might have a future in this. It's so nice to be home and just goof around, I had a lot of fun doing a lot of stupid things today and it was fantastic!
