This is the lens I used to shoot Augie with yesterday. At 8mm, it was a little too wide for my liking, but my god it is one of the most beautiful lenses I have ever seen.
The glass actually protrudes from the casing to get such an extreme angle and it just looks sexy. I still had the 70-200mm 2.8L that I used for the Darling's wedding, so I used that to shoot today's picture, which made everything look even better. I love this picture because it's crisp and clean, and it's surprisingly deceptive. It looks like a white seamless that's pretty well lit, but if you pull back a bit...

... you can see how simple this set up really is. All it took was 4 pieces of paper and a bounce card set next to a window, but it's a pretty effective way to do product shots if I do say so myself.
I had to send back all of the toys I had rented today, which was a total bummer. I'm seriously considering investing in some L-series glass, it just makes life look better.
