It was a manic Monday today. I drove from Santa Barbara to Burbank, dropped off some film, went home to visit the family for a bit, went back to Burbank to pick up my film, and then ended up back in Santa Barbara to shoot Ellie Goulding's show on campus!
It was so nice to be home, even if it was only for a few hours. I usually takes a bit for my sister to remember who I am because I'm always away at school, but she's finally at the point where she recognizes me. She came through the door when I was in my room and said, "Hi Eh-nan," and my heart just about melted.

She's going to be gorgeous when she's older.
The concert tonight was really awesome too. I love shooting concerts, it's so much fun. I shoot a lot of different kinds of stuff, portraits, lifestyle stuff, photojournalism stuff, arty stuff, but concert photography is definitely the hardest. You have 10 minutes, no light, and a dynamic subject that could do anything on stage. I love today's picture, when I get something that is in focus and not terribly grainy I am ecstatic. When I get something that actually conveys emotion or catches the moment, it's so gratifying because everything in the setting is working against you. So I'm stoked on this picture, and Ellie Goulding is an AWESOME performer, so the show was really fun too.
One more of Faythe, just because I can:
