Day 136

136/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

This is my friend Erin. She is beautiful, but by far the most difficult model I have had so far. Seriously, way worse than my Grandpa on Day 24. It's cool though, I still love her.

She's a total goober. She doesn't like being serious. And while we were talking, I learned that her philosophy is "a funny picture is the best kind of picture".

In her defense, I made her do this. She's a awesome person who does some really awesome things. She's also one of the most adventurous people I know. Over the summer, she went to Thailand fora couple of weeks to take care of elephants. She didn't know how often she would be able to shower, so she just buzzed her hair off. She didn't even really think twice about it, and she looked great bald. Now she's talking about going into the jungles of Belize for a few weeks this coming summer to do research on animals and insects. Or maybe Alaska. She hasn't decided yet. But as soon as I sat her in front of the camera, she got nervous.

We made it work, though. I took about 80 pictures, I ended up with 75 funny faces. Every so often, though, I was quicker than she was, and I got a nice one:

I LOVE the way her eye takes the light in that one. Still, the picture at the top is the best one because it is Erin. She has a personality that you can't contain and I think it comes through in that picture.

For the last shot, we decided to try having her drink some water. I got lucky and was able to get the water right before it hit her tongue, and it turned out pretty awesome:
