Day 16

For reasons unknown to me, the food network is on at my house 24/7. Last night I couldn't go to sleep, and I got sucked into the various cooking shows they have to offer.


One chocolate dish looked particularly good, so I went to the store today and made these cookie brownies. They were spectacular if I do say so myself. 


Food photography is kind of a weird thing, and it's something I've never done before. I got lazy on this one, I should have busted out some strobes to bring the light levels up so that I could get some deeper focus, it's a little too soft for me. I played with this one a little bit in photoshop to try and fix it. I still haven't completely figured that program out, but it's nice to get some practice in. Oh well, I've learned my lesson for next time. 


I'm really excited for tomorrow, I'm heading down to Allison Anders' Don't Knock The Rock Film and Music Festival to volunteer and take some stills/video. There's a really cool documentary screening about Emitt Rhodes, who was once called the One Man Beatles, and he'll be there to see the film and sign autographs. It should be a cool night, and hopefully I'll come away with something really cool for tomorrow's picture!
