This one is coming in right at the deadline because I just walked in the door from driving back from Arizona. This was the photo I wanted to grab the other day when I forgot my camera, and while it's not overwhelmingly spectacular, I think it's incredibly interesting.
Arizona has been in the news lately for cracking down on their illegal immigrants, most of which are Mexican, and I think it's interesting to see what effects it's having on the state. Everyday, on the way to marina to go boating, we would pass this little food shack. Everyday, it has been closed. The people who ran this little establishment left the state and abandoned their stand (which looks like it would have had delicious tacos), and now it stands alone in an otherwise empty lot with weeds sprouting up around it. It will be interesting to see what will happen to this place, and it'd be even more interesting to find out what happened to these people.
To get this shot, I pulled up to the stop sign across the street while towing the boat. I put the car in park, ran out of the car and across the street, fired off two shots, then hopped back in the driver's seat and pulled away. It was quick and dirty, and I'm happy with it.
