Day 10

10/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

Today was hectic, and I was feeling the pressure.
I moved into my new apartment today in Isla Vista. It was a gorgeous day, which I got to enjoy as I hauled boxes in and out of cars and up and down stairs. To celebrate moving into my new home away from home, I had planned on taking a sweet sunset shot of my apartment complex. Unfortunately, I completely misjudged the sun's position, and my apartment complex, like a true prima donna, refused to cooperate, and stayed in the shade.

I tried a few more ideas that would represent my move-in, but none of them came out to my liking. I did, however, notice this amazing tree that lives in one of my neighbor's front yards. Out of all the trees in Santa Barbara, I think this one just might be my new favorite, so I crawled up into it and snapped off a picture to commemorate our first meeting. Considering how busy I was today, I'm happy with the picture. I am nervous though; if this is a flash of what this project will be like when I start school, I'm going to have to shape up and start planning ahead better, or my pictures are going to suffer.
