Day 23

23/365, originally uploaded by Aaron LaRue.

This one was handed to me by the universe. I left my apartment today on a mission to sweet talk my way into the photo lab at UCSB...
I wanted to try to scan my negatives that I developed last night, and I've heard that the lab has some sweet negative scanners and a pretty lax check-in system. After roaming around the arts building for a bit, I found what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the door has a keypad lock (something to do with the hazardous developing chemicals), so I couldn't get in. There was an upside to my visit though. On my adventure around the building I found a box that said "Free books", and I snagged some art history books that I'm excited about.

When I skated back to my apartment, this pristine bug was parked on the street, in front of this great wall with a matching paint job. The sun was in the perfect position right above the car.  I ran upstairs, grabbed my camera, and knocked this out in two minutes. It was almost too easy, and I'm stoked on it.
