This is my roommate Chad, also known as DJ Jhörts. 


Chad was a wild card coming into this year, it was a weird set of circumstances. I have to say though, it worked out for the best. He's a great roommate and a funny guy, so I love him. Tony started DJing a while ago and came and spun at my house earlier this year. Chad was inspired and finally got a deck for Christmas, so we've been spinning a lot. I can get from song to song without screwing up, but Chad is actually getting pretty good, so it's really fun. 


He can be seen here in his DJ Jhörts uniform, which includes: a flannel shirt, padres hat, and his signature jhorts (jean shorts). I've been looking at Moshe Brakha's blog lately, and his lighting is pretty intense. Since I don't have 20 different flashes, I tried to do a poor man's version here. I put 2 SB-24's up, one on either side of the camera. To the right I put a magenta gel and to the left I put some green. The shadow's get this crazy effect because of the different colors, and after a little photoshopping I'm pretty excited with how it turned out.
