While we were at Devereux I took the opportunity to make some cool pictures.
The thing is, I was coming into it blind because I had never been there before. I had no idea what to expect or what I wanted so it was like a pop quiz for me. Thankfully Keanne, Tony's girlfriend, was patient with me while I worked through some things.
We started out in this gym that they're renovating. I decided I was gonna go for color and make things look eerie. I love the combo of blue and green, so I went through my gel kit and found the right shades. After some tinkering, I walked away with this:

I'm happy with it for what it was. It's kind of a weird space, so we chalked this one up as a W and moved on. From there we went to the patio from yesterday's picture, and then we got inspired. I had a flash set up but the settings on my camera were tweaked funny, and this came out:

It was one of those happy accidents that sets off the rest of the night. We started to do some light writing, and that's how I got the picture at the top of today. The pictures looked good out of camera, but I started playing around with them in photoshop and I really got them to pop. It's amazing how far I've come in that program, I could barely open a file when I started this project.
Overall I'm pretty stoked on the pics from Devereux. You can see the flickr set here. Hopefully we'll go on another adventure soon and I can add to the collection!
