We got to Las Vegas yesterday and have been running around since. For lunch today we went to this restaurant called Dick's where they are known for their harsh service. It was a blast, and at one point during the meal my 15-year-old brother Blayke had a custom made hat on that said "I spank it to The Little Mermaid", which was kindly given to him by our waiter. Unfortunately, this classy establishment wasn't well lit, and I couldn't get a good picture anywhere. I wasn't worried though, I was in Vegas, I was sure to have other opportunities, right?
We planned on going to see the BODIES exhibit at the Luxor after lunch, and I was pumped. I had try to see it in various forms a couple different times and it has never worked out for me. If you haven't heard of it, you can check out their website. Bascially they deconstruct cadavers to show the inner workings of the human body, and while it sounds kind of gross, it's extremely interesting. As I expected they didn't allow photography, which was a bummer. I am a line-crosser by nature, though, and I still attempted to take a few pictures. While they came out, I'm not happy with them. Shooting while trying to hide from the workers just didn't work for me.
So this is what I ended up with. It's a lamp hanging from a ceiling. It's not incredible. It's not flashy. It's not seductive. It's a cool shot, and I'm happy with it, but I feel like I could have done something better, especially with Las Vegas at my fingertips. Oh well, better luck next time, right?
